Λαδόματος
Γεννήθηκε
στη Λευκωσία το 1940. Σπούδασε
ζωγραφική στο Camberwell School of
art στο Λονδίνο. Υπηρέτησε στο Παγκύπριο
Γυμνάσιο, στην Παιδαγωγική
Ακαδημία και στην Ανάπτυξη
Προγραμμάτων Μέσης Εκπαίδευσης
του Υπουργείου Παιδείας και
Πολιτισμού. Διετέλεσε σύμβουλος
του Ραδιοφωνικού Ιδρύματος Κύπρου
για τα εικαστικά. Έδωσε δεκάδες
διαλέξεις για την ιστορία της
Τέχνης και σκηνογράφησε για τον
Θ.Ο.Κ. και το θεατράκι του ΡΙΚ. Το 1982
βραβεύτηκε με το Κρατικό Βραβείο
Εικονογράφησης.
Παρουσίασε
το έργο του σε πολλές ατομικές και
ομαδικές εκθέσεις στην Κύπρο και
το εξωτερικό και έλαβε μέρος σε
διεθνείς Μπιενάλε Ινδιών,
Αλεξάνδρειας, Σάο Πάολο, Ουρουγουάη,
Βελιγράδι και άλλες.
Andreas
Ladomatos
Born in Nicosia,
1940. Studied painting at the Camberwell School of Art in
London. Worked at the Pancyprian Gymnasium, the Pedagogical
Academy and in the Curriculum Development Unit for Secondary
Schools. Has worked as consultant to the Cyprus Broadcasting
Corporation on arts. Has given many lectures on the Histroy of
Art and designed for the Cypriot Theatrical Organisation and the
Theatre of the Cyprus Broadcasting corporation. In 1982 was
awarded the State Illustration Award. Has shown his work
in one-man exhibitions and
has taken part in many group exhibitions in Cyprus and abroad.
England, Germany, Belgium, Australia, France, China, etc. Has
taken part in international exhibitions (1967, India 1st
Triennale, 1968 Egypt, 7th Biennale, 1971 Brazil 11th
Sao Paulo Biennale, 1977 Yugoslavia, “Fine Arts”).
